NexusACO: Built to help deliver quality care at lower costs for Massachusetts employers
NexusACO has a network of providers that work together with UnitedHealthcare to coordinate patient care.
Available to employers in Massachusetts, NexusACO® has a network of providers that work together with UnitedHealthcare to coordinate patient care and participate in incentive programs to help improve quality standards and the efficiency of care.
To build the NexusACO provider network, UnitedHealthcare collaborated with select Affordable Care Organizations (ACOs) across the country dedicated to offering quality care at lower costs. In Massachusetts the collaboration is with Artius Health and Reliant Healthcare. Each NexusACO provider is featured at the highest benefit level (Tier 1).
The employee relationship with their PCP creates the nexus — the vital link — to specialists, facilities and services. NexusACO offers national network access and includes both UnitedHealth Premium® Care Physicians and quality ACOs. This may help to improve quality care and outcomes — as well as lower overall costs — while providing a positive experience for employees and covered family members.

Tier 2 access is designated by the UnitedHealthcare national Choice Plus network. If a member does not reside in the designated service area, their Tier 1 solution will default to the UnitedHealth Premium designation program provider network.
